Questions and answer about the Organizational Leadership Program
Q. What are the requirements to get into the Organizational Leadership program?
A. To be entered into the program, one must have EITHER:
a. A completed Associates degree, OR
b. 90 total credit hours
c. 2.00 Cumulative GPA
If (b) but not (a), one must also complete two of these prior to official program entry:
1. ACC 204 (or equivalent)
2. EC 204 (or equivalent)
3. MKT 250 or TMK 201 (or equivalent) Lake Campus Only
Q. How long will it take me to complete the Organizational Leadership program?
A. This certainly depends on how many credits you have when you enter the program and how many credits per quarter you can take. Students should seek the advice of a CEHS Student Services advisor to learn more about their own unique timeline .
Q. Is there a lot of math in this program?
A. No. Actually, you only have to complete MAT 145 or its equivalent and you are finished with math. No calculus, advanced finance, or statistics required. If an O.L. student wants more quantitative courses in their program, they can take them and put them into Open Electives.
Q. What courses count as Open Electives?
A. Anything that does not fit into General Education, the Integrated Leadership Focus or Organizational Leadership Focus will go into Open Electives (up to 70 credits). If a student needs a lot of Open Electives, the overriding advice is to seek out courses that:
a. fit a student’s schedule
b. are nice complements to the O.L. major
c. they want to take
d. add a minor (can not choose one with business focus)
Q. What is the process of entering the Organizational Leadership program, and how long does it take to complete that process?
A. Students start in the University College and the UC advisors evaluate prerequisites and, when they are met, the student’s file is sent to the CEHS Student Services office for an official evaluation and the student is advised of their status.
Q. After I’m in the O.L. program, how do I know what to take and when?
A. Students receive notice that informs the student how to access their program of study via the Internet . This is what the O.L. student should use when determining what to schedule. When to schedule is up to the student, but the WSU schedule of classes that is printed each quarter will help. There is a projected schedule of courses in the back of that. Additionally, the O.L. student can talk with the CEHS Student Services advisor to determine sequencing or to find out when to take certain courses.
Q. What is the best way to contact my Student Services Advisor?
A. Visit during open, walk-in advising -Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 9 am - 11:30 am, 1 pm - 1:30 pm and Tuesday & Thurday evening 5 pm - 6:30 pm. (when the WSU is in session)

Q. Where do I get permission for an Organizational Leadership permission course?
A. Using your WSU email account, send an email to the CEHS office of Student Services at cehssrvs@wright.edu. In the email, provide your name, UID number (Banner Student ID) and the CRN number(s) of the O.L course(s) you wish to register for. You will be cleared in the Banner system if you are eligible to register and you will be notified by email to your WSU account within two buisness days. For more info, call 937-775-3088.
