WSU offers one of two Ohio school library media licensure programs. The program is nationally recognized by the American Association of School Librarians (AASL). This program of study is for the individual holding a bachelor's degree AND teaching teaching credentials. It provides Multi-Age Library media license and/or a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree.

LIBRARY MEDIA - ADVANCED LICENSE

Multiage

Upon successful completion of the Library Media licensure program of study and passing the Praxis II exam in Library Media (#10310), the holder of an Ohio standard teaching credential is eligible for a Multiage Library Media (#050675) multiage license. Students have the option of completing a Master of Education.

Program Requirements
The holder of a standard teaching credential may become licensed in library media multiage by completing 52 quarter hours fulfilled through the following courses: (additional courses required for M.Ed. degree)

The M.Ed. may be earned with the addition of three courses (EDL 751, EDL 773 and EDL 712 OR EDL 713). Students must be admitted to the School of Graduate Studies as degree-seeking students at the beginning of their program.
