Improve your Leadership Skills. The Department of Educational Leadership offers a planned program of study to obtain a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. Choose from concentrations in Principalship, Superintendent, or Professional Development. Additional coursework will qualify you for a license.

SUPERINTENDENT
District-Level Licensure

Superintendent Ed.S. candidates must have a master's degree in Educational Leadership or an advised equivalent, a current building-level principal license, and at least three years of experience as a building principal.

Upon successful completion of the Superintendent Ed.S. program of study and passing the appropriate licensure exam (if applicable), the holder of a current principal license who meets the criteria detailed in the previous paragraph is eligible for a superintendent license.
