Improve your Leadership Skills. The Department of Educational Leadership offers a planned program of study to obtain a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. Choose from concentrations in Principalship, Superintendent, or Professional Development. Additional coursework will qualify you for a license.

SUPERINTENDENT
District-Level Licensure

Candidates seeking a Superintendent license must have a master's degree in Educational Leadership or an advised equivalent, a current building-level Principal license, and at least three years experience as a building principal.

Upon successful completion of the Superintendent licensure program of study and passing the Praxis II exam in Educational Leadership: Administration and Supervision (#0411), the holder of a current principal license who meets the criteria detailed in the previous paragraph is eligible for a Superintendent license.
